DAY 29 OF 30
⏱ 20 min Week 5

Deep Fascial Release

Welcome to Day 29! You have officially arrived at the final phase of this journey: Integration & Celebration. Take a deep breath and acknowledge the incredible dedication it took to reach this point.

Today’s practice focuses on the fascia—the web of connective tissue surrounding your muscles and organs. By holding postures for longer periods, we gently stretch the fascia of the iliotibial band, hip flexors, and spine. This approach may help alleviate deep-seated physical tension and restore fluid mobility to your joints.

Poses Today 6
Duration 20 min
Focus Deep Stretch

Warm-Up — 5 min

We begin with gentle, passive holds to signal the nervous system that it is safe to release tension.

Child's Pose

Child's Pose

Beginner
Balasana
⏱ 3 min
  1. 1. Kneel on the mat, bring your big toes together, and separate your knees wider than your hips.
  2. 2. Exhale, sink your hips back toward your heels, and walk your hands forward until your forehead rests on the mat.
  3. 3. Allow gravity to gently stretch the fascia along the erector spinae. Breathe deeply into the back of your ribs.
Alignment Tip Let your elbows rest heavily on the floor to completely disengage the shoulder muscles.

Sphinx Pose

Sphinx Pose

Beginner
Salamba Bhujangasana
⏱ 2 min
  1. 1. Lie flat on your stomach, propping yourself up on your forearms with elbows directly under your shoulders.
  2. 2. Press the tops of your feet into the mat, but allow your glutes to remain relatively relaxed.
  3. 3. This creates a mild, sustained compression in the lumbar spine, stimulating fluid flow to the intervertebral discs.
Alignment Tip If you feel any sharp pinching in the lower back, walk your elbows further forward to reduce the backbend.

Today's Sequence — 10 min

Half Pigeon Pose
01.

Half Pigeon Pose

Intermediate
Eka Pada Rajakapotasana
⏱ 5 min
  1. 1. From tabletop, draw your right knee toward your right wrist and angle your right shin toward the left side of the mat.
  2. 2. Extend your left leg straight back. Slowly fold forward over your front shin, resting your forehead on your hands or a block.
  3. 3. We will hold this for over 2 minutes per side to allow the dense fascia of the piriformis and gluteus maximus to slowly yield.
Alignment Tip Keep your pelvis level; place a folded blanket under your right hip if it does not rest on the floor.
Modification: If you experience any knee pain, immediately switch to Supine Figure Four on your back.

Seated Forward Bend (Yin Style)
02.

Seated Forward Bend (Yin Style)

Beginner
Paschimottanasana
⏱ 5 min
  1. 1. Sit with your legs extended straight out in front of you. Allow your feet to relax and splay open slightly.
  2. 2. Unlike an active forward fold, simply let your spine round naturally as you fold forward over your legs.
  3. 3. Let your head hang heavy. This targets the entire superficial back line of fascia from the soles of the feet to the brow line.
Alignment Tip Do not pull or force yourself deeper with your arms; let time and gravity do the work.
Modification: Place a bolster or rolled blanket under your knees to prevent hyperextension of the knee joints.

Cool-Down — 5 min

Supine Spinal Twist

Supine Spinal Twist

Beginner
Supta Matsyendrasana
⏱ 3 min
  1. 1. Lie on your back, hug your right knee into your chest, and extend the left leg.
  2. 2. Guide the right knee across your body to the left floor while extending your right arm out to the side.
  3. 3. Hold for 10-15 deep breaths on each side, allowing the connective tissues of the outer hip and chest to release.
Alignment Tip Focus on the sensation of release rather than achieving perfect alignment or depth.
Savasana

Savasana

Beginner
Savasana
⏱ 2 min
  1. 1. Extend your legs fully and rest your arms by your sides with palms facing up.
  2. 2. Feel the subtle flow of circulation returning to the deep tissues you just stretched.
  3. 3. Rest in complete stillness.
Alignment Tip Ensure you are warm enough; fascial release can sometimes lower body temperature.

Savasana

Corpse Pose
