DAY 25 OF 30
⏱ 20 min
Week 4
Full Body Detox Twist
Welcome to Day 25. Today’s practice integrates the strength and mobility you have built into deep, full-body rotations.
Spinal twists are highly effective for engaging the obliques and multifidus muscles. They stretch the intercostal muscles between the ribs, which can improve respiratory capacity. Approach these twists mindfully, using your breath to explore the rotation safely.

Warm-Up — 5 min
We will warm up the core and spine with gentle seated rotations before moving to standing twists.
Seated Easy Twist
BeginnerParivrtta Sukhasana
⏱ 5 min
- 1. Sit cross-legged. Inhale, reaching your arms overhead to find maximum length in the spine.
- 2. Exhale, twist to the right, placing your left hand on your right knee and right hand behind you.
- 3. Hold for 5 breaths, finding length on every inhale and deepening the twist on every exhale. Switch sides.
Alignment Tip
Always initiate the twist from the core and thoracic spine, never by forcefully pulling with your arms.
Today's Sequence — 10 min
01.
Revolved Crescent Lunge
IntermediateParivrtta Anjaneyasana
⏱ 5 min
- 1. From a high lunge (right foot forward), bring your hands to prayer at your heart.
- 2. Inhale to lean forward, exhale to twist to the right, hooking your left elbow outside your right thigh.
- 3. Press your palms together firmly to rotate your chest toward your thumbs. Hold for 5 breaths, then switch sides.
Alignment Tip
Keep your back leg extremely active and straight to anchor the posture.
Modification: Lower your back knee to the mat to stabilize the pelvis and make the twist more accessible.
02.
Revolved Triangle Pose
IntermediateParivrtta Trikonasana
⏱ 5 min
- 1. Stand with feet about 3 feet apart, right foot forward, hips squared to the front of the mat.
- 2. Inhale, reach the left arm up. Exhale, hinge forward and place the left hand on the floor or a block inside/outside the right foot.
- 3. Extend the right arm up, twisting the torso to the right. This deeply targets the IT band and obliques. Hold 5 breaths, switch.
Alignment Tip
Keep your hips completely level; draw the right hip back and left hip forward to stabilize the sacrum.
Modification: Keep your hand heavily supported on a yoga block, and place your top hand on your hip rather than reaching up.
